COWS ESCAPED DUE TO CRIMINALS

Good evening. 

Thank you for your patience on Friday evening, during Storm Claudia, when the Walton Road had to be closed for half an hour whilst Highways sorted out the large tree that had fallen partially over the road.

The temperatures are going to plumit in the next 24 hours therefore conditions on all roads will be hazardous therefore please take time getting safely to your destination. 

This evening two cows decided to go for a jolly down the road in Coton Park at Linton.

Fortunately the farmer was notified and once the two young cows were moooooved back to their field, it's believed a cattle hurdle had been stolen and the gates chain padlock had been cut.

No injuries to the young cattle but this could have been a serious incident.

The theft occurred from Friday 14th November onwards.

Please be vigilant now the dark nights become even longer.
